PANDEMIC COVID-19

For several months now, the world has been facing a deadly threat caused by the coronavirus. Overcoming this pandemic is humanity’s most important goal today. In order to effectively stop it, we all must act together. The recommendations of epidemiologists are clear: isolation, voluntary quarantine and enforcing personal hygiene measures. We must keep physical distance, limit our social life, and abide by the recommendations.

While masks, visors, gloves, dividers, and keeping distance between each other in stores successfully reduce the risk of infection, they also put a wedge in people’s mutual trust, and can bring fear along with them. In the long run, this separation weakens human bonds which are the fabric of our communities and of our society.

EVERYONE MUST ACT

We know that that self-isolation and compliance with recommendations slow down the virus’ transmission and helps flatten the curve. For a society however this comes at a great cost, one of these being weakened human relations. The goal of the ONE FOR ALL campaign is to strengthen social relations, help rebuild confidence in each other, and promote effective solutions to combat the pandemic.

PHYSICAL DISTANCE
SHOULD NOT MEAN
SOCIAL DISTANCE

WHAT IS THE ONE FOR ALL CAMPAIGN ABOUT?

One for all

One for All is an international, independent grassroots campaign led by
MI POLIN / Z POLSKI Foundation against the epidemic.
The campaign has three objectives:

Compliance with the rules

Reminding our obligation to comply with official recommendations which are the most impactful weapons we have in our fight against the virus.

Community solidarity

Being mindful and attentive to the needs of others – that’s what we call mutual support, and that’s what underpins the meaning of community.

Hope and unity

Showing your smile despite it being hidden behind the mask. Even a small gesture of kindness strengthens the sense of unity and brings hope.
This symbol is a paper pin ONE FOR ALL. Download the template, follow the instructions and pin it on your clothes or on your door so that it is clearly visible. Show that you think of others and expect the same in return.

The pin as a shield

The pin is a three-hearted shield. These hearts symbolise compliance with recommendations, community solidarity and hope. Every heart has a different colour: yellow, red and blue. These three colours are fundamental, just like the listed values. Intertwined hearts make up the shield, and our shield represents the values and our unity! You can download the template from our site.

Why wear the pin?

Complete lack of our presence in society is impossible. We have to go out to the store, work, drive, and tend to our essential activities. Some restrictions will be eased allowing us to gradually get back to normal life, but it’s at this precise point in time that abiding by simple rules will be crucial. We will see the return of our day-to-day interactions and gatherings but we cannot forget that the threat of infection will persist.

ONE FOR ALL means that each and every one of us adopts responsible behaviours for the safety and health of us and others. The ONE FOR ALL paper pin adresses this glaring need that has been overlooked up to this point. It is a uniting symbol of our fight against the coronavirus and a sign of our joint public effort.

You are responsible
For the health and safety
Of others

When wearing ONE FOR ALL pin, you send a clear signal to the people around you: I think and care about you. When you see a ONE FOR ALL pin on the clothes of someone else, it’s a sign that this person is following the safety rules on your behalf and expects you to do the same. This reassures you that you’re not alone in this fight. There are more of us. It gives us hope for a quick victory.

You are not alone In this fight

We are appealing to you to publicise the ONE FOR ALL campaign to make sure
it reaches as many people as possible. The more people learn about the paper
symbol, the more they will abide by the values it represents, and the faster we
will overcome these difficult times.

About us

MI POLIN / Z POLSKI Foundation was established in 2019 in Warsaw at the initiative of Helena Czernek and Aleksander Prugar. The foundation was active before its official inception through its numerous involvements in educational activities for local communities under the MI POLIN design studio banner. It is through this type of activity framework that led to the famous design of a yellow daffodil paper pin which commemorates the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The Foundation was established to organise and promote initiatives to commemorate Polish-Jewish history, culture and art, and initiate social actions.
